§ 38-8. Responsibility for private sewer lines.

(a)

The city requires that each owner of each sewer service line repair and maintain their service line so as to eliminate the entry of rainwater into the city's sewer.

(b)

The city will implement a testing and inspection program to detect service line leaks for enforcement purposes.

(c)

If a property owner refuses to repair a service line within 45 days after written notification by the city, the city may impose a fine in the amount of $500.00 on the property owner.
