§ 36-1. State laws adopted.

(a)

Pursuant to the authority conferred by R.S. 32:41(C), the city adopts the provisions of R.S. title 32, chapter 1 (R.S. 32:1 et seq.), the Highway Regulatory Act, and all regulations of the state department of highways and the director of public safety adopted pursuant thereto, except for such provisions and regulations as by their nature can have no application in the city, and except as otherwise provided in this Code or by ordinance. Any person violating said provisions or regulations shall be punished as provided in section 1-8.

(b)

The city hereby amends Marksville Ordinance 14.1 by re-adopting R.S. title 32 entitled Motor Vehicle Traffic Regulation, in its entirety with all amendments, as city ordinance effective September 27, 2010.
