§ 2-6. Holidays.

(a)

All employees shall be entitled to the following paid official city holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Mardi Gras Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.

(b)

When Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve fall on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, all city employees will have a half day off beginning at 12:00 noon.
