§ 22-397. Unlawful playing of video draw poker devices by persons under the age of 21 years.

  • (a)

    Unlawful. It is unlawful for any person under 21 years of age, unless such person is at least the age of majority and an active or honorably discharged member of the United States Armed Services or the National Guard of any state, to play video draw poker devices.

    (b)

    Definition. For purposes of this section, the term "video draw poker device" means a device, as defined in R.S. 27:301(B)(15), placed in an establishment licensed for operation and regulated under the applicable provisions of chapter 6 of title 27 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 (R.S. 27:301 et seq.).

    (c)

    Penalties. Whoever violates this section shall be fined not more than $100.00 for the first offense, $250.00 for the second offense, and $500.00 for the third offense.
