§ 10-114. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this division, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Peddler or itinerant vendor means any person who, for himself or any other person, goes from house to house or place to place or store to store, exposing and selling the merchandise which he carries with him and delivering the same at the time of or immediately after the sale or without returning to the business operation between the taking of the order and delivery of the goods.

    Peddling or hawking at wholesale means selling to persons who in turn resell to consumers.
